Growing to Care for Your Child’s Mental and Behavioral Health

Seattle Children’s is committed to providing timely, compassionate support for families and patients seeking care for mental and behavioral health concerns.

  • In March 2026, we opened a dedicated space at Seattle Children’s Federal Way Clinic for outpatient behavioral health support, including autism spectrum disorder diagnostic evaluations.
  • In late 2026, an Early Adolescent Partial Hospitalization Program will open at the Federal Way Clinic, giving youth ages 11 through 14 intensive mental and behavioral health services.
  • A crisis stabilization and observation unit is coming to Seattle Children's hospital in Laurelhurst in early 2028, providing a calming, trauma-informed setting for kids who need emergency and/or crisis stabilization mental health care.

Growing to Provider Faster Access and Serve More Kids

Seattle Children’s is expanding our capacity, so your child gets the care they need, when they need it.

  • A new outpatient surgery center in Federal Way (coming in 2028) will bring care closer to South Sound families, meaning faster access for more patients. This new center will offer outpatient surgeries, GI procedures, comprehensive radiology and pharmacy services.
  • Future clinical services at our 43.9-acre property in Renton will allow Seattle Children’s to serve even more kids who need care, closer to home.
