Growing to Care for Your Child’s Mental and Behavioral Health
Seattle Children’s is committed to providing timely, compassionate support for families and patients seeking care for mental and behavioral health concerns.
- In March 2026, we opened a dedicated space at Seattle Children’s Federal Way Clinic for outpatient behavioral health support, including autism spectrum disorder diagnostic evaluations.
- In late 2026, an Early Adolescent Partial Hospitalization Program will open at the Federal Way Clinic, giving youth ages 11 through 14 intensive mental and behavioral health services.
- A crisis stabilization and observation unit is coming to Seattle Children's hospital in Laurelhurst in early 2028, providing a calming, trauma-informed setting for kids who need emergency and/or crisis stabilization mental health care.
Growing to Provide Equitable Access to Care
Every child deserves exceptional healthcare delivered with dignity and deep understanding of their unique background.
- Since 1970, Seattle Children’s Odessa Brown Children’s Clinic (OBCC) has provided comprehensive, high-quality pediatric care for children in Seattle’s Central District — along with family advocacy, health collaboration, mentoring and education in a culturally relevant way.
- A second location, OBCC Othello, opened in 2022 to meet the needs of the growing pediatric community in South Seattle and South King County.
- A new OBCC Central District location opened in 2025, providing greater access to medical and behavioral health services, primary care, immunizations, dermatology, autism services and lab services.
- Since early 2026, the Community Advocacy Restorative Education (CARE) Clinic at OBCC Central District has supported youth experiencing or exposed to trauma.
Growing to Provide Expert Specialty Care, Closer to Home
Seattle Children’s is bringing specialty care closer to home so that long, stressful commutes don’t stand between your child and the care they need.
- Opened in late 2025, Seattle Children’s Renton Cardiology provides South King County families with specialty heart care for newborns, children and teens. Renton Cardiology offers expert care within Seattle Children's Heart Center – from prenatal consultation and diagnosis to heart surgery and support for those transitioning to adult care.
- Opened in June 2026, the state-of-the-art Seattle Children’s Kirkland Orthopedics Clinic expands access to specialized musculoskeletal and rehabilitation care for a wide range of complex orthopedic conditions, meeting the unique needs of growing bodies.
Growing to Provider Faster Access and Serve More Kids
Seattle Children’s is expanding our capacity, so your child gets the care they need, when they need it.
- A new outpatient surgery center in Federal Way (coming in 2028) will bring care closer to South Sound families, meaning faster access for more patients. This new center will offer outpatient surgeries, GI procedures, comprehensive radiology and pharmacy services.
- Future clinical services at our 43.9-acre property in Renton will allow Seattle Children’s to serve even more kids who need care, closer to home.
