Objectives and Disclosures

- Outline recent changes in U.S. pediatric practice and policy regarding vaccine refusal, including the AAP’s changing guidance on patient dismissal and the elimination of nonmedical exemptions to school vaccine mandates.
- Analyze the ethical and political implications of these new approaches, including their effects on child welfare, clinician autonomy and public trust.
