"It is such an honor and privilege to be a part of a childs care and to make a difference each day. And where else would you see patients in costumes or have the chance to wax philosophical about Thomas The Train or Bob the Builder?!"

Patrick Parenzin met my daughter today for a suspected rare disease. He confirmed Blount disease and made other important observations about her that need to be addressed. She is 7 and suffers from extreme anxiety and also has developmental delays. He was able to put her (and mom) at ease. He is knowledgeable and thorough. I would recommend him to anyone.

When my 8 year old son broke his arm with complications, we were so thankful to be in Dr Patrick's care. He is informative and extremely kind and helpful. My son looks forward to his appointments and we always feel he truly listens and helps us find solutions. He knows how to combine medical care and real life, in order that a child doesn't have to "put life on hold" while they heal. We are extremely thankful for Dr Patrick, and highly recommend him.

My son starting seeing Patrick a couple of years ago. He was diagnosed with a bone tumor 6 years ago in Hood River, OR. The doctors my son saw before Patrick were not very clear about what kind of tumor was in my son's femur. I was referred to a sports doctor in Olympia who was not big on communication and could not tell me if the tumor was malignant or benign. My son started seeing Patrick. By the second visit (after a scan) Patrick was able to put my mind at ease and assure me it was benign. He could tell by the color of fluid in the tumor. I highly recommend him.

When my daughter broke and dislocated her elbow she needed surgery and stayed at Children's Seattle for two days. She was VERY wary of all doctor's nurses and assistants during her stay. Patrick was so compassionate and had a way of making her feel comfortable and not scared. She looked forward to all of her follow up appointments with him and wanted to know if he could be her doctor for all the time. She was disappointed when I told her he was just for broken bones and that I hope we don't HAVE to go back and see him.

My daughter Audrey broke her arm two years ago- both bones. We were immediately referred to Patrick, who had seen a friend of ours son as well. Audrey is an avid basketball player and was out for the spring season and hoopfest. He was so compassionate and understanding and totally focused on how to engage Audrey's interest and care of her arm as well as her disappointment to not being able to play her favorite sport. We are about to see Patrick again for my son, who just fractured his growth plate in his humerus while trying snowboarding. It was a no brainer when I had to pick a doctor from the mountain in Montana who I was going to see! Patrick is the best!

When our 7 year old son was recommended to Patrick for knee pain, it was our first experience at Children's Hospital. His immediate rapport and gracious nature, coupled with his persistent investigation of the issue astounded us. He recognized a tumor in our son's knee (a rare location) and pulled in a team of top notch professionals for consultation while always using non-alarming, clear explanations. We could not have been more pleased or grateful for his care of our son. We will, without question, make Children's our hospital of choice because of the quality of care Patrick provided. We have had an amazing experience!

We thought we were coming in to get a referral for orthotics for my 14 year old son because of what we thought was back pain caused by too great a difference in leg length. Within the first few minutes of checking my son, Patrick suggested we get an MRI because he believed my son had a fracture in his spine. Sure enough, after seeing the MRI, Patrick was right. My son plays competitive basketball and Patrick's compassion and empathy really helped my son to understand how important it was to not do anything while he allowed his back to heal. Patrick never rushed us through any appointment and always had incredible bedside manner. I highly recommend Patrick.

Patrick investigated our son when he has a sponatneous limp and has followed him for over the course of a year. Patrick is quick to get a child's attention and is thorough in his practice. He is down to earth and very professional. We are delighted to have him on our care team should our son Bryton have any other instances with his gait in the future.

    • Tracy Lynnwood, WA 01.08.11

Patrick took care of our 6 year old son last year when he broke his leg skiing. Patrick was so kind, compassionate and knowledgeable. His bedside manner was second none in fact, my son cried when he finished his treatment with Patrick exclaiming "but youre my FAVORITE doctor!" Patrick is the BEST! THANK YOU Childrens for having such exceptional people on hand to care for and nurture our children back to good health!!!!
