The Crossett Fund has supported many projects over the years. Here is a list of them, going back to 1989.

  • 2022
    • Sitka Conservation Society – building a Sitka Cycle Club Pump Track and expansion of Salty Spoke Youth Bicycle Education program
    • Viking Swim Club – purchase of six new Spectrum starting blocks for swim team
    • Community Connections – expanding social and emotional learning (SEL) book library
    • Sitka Sound Science Center – Earth Guardians Science Education Project in partnership with Indigenous Guardians program in Southeast Alaska
  • 2021
    • Takshanuk Watershed Council – community summer work program
    • Kootznoowoo Cultural and Educational Foundation, Inc. – Canoe carving project
    • Kootznowoo, Inc. Alaska Native Village Corporation for Angoon Village – visual story content development with youth and elders to document and promote development of a canoe “trail” that will begin in Angoon and cross a portion of Admiralty Island (traditional home of the Tlingit people of Angoon). This four-to-five-day canoe route will be developed as a small scale tourism opportunity to include training local youth and young adults as canoe guides.
    • Organized Village of Kake (OVK) – AK Youth Stewards, training rural Alaskan youth leaders and stewards (TRAYLS Program)
    • Yakutat Tlingit Tribe – Yakutat Surf Camp
    • Book Tracks/Friends of Sitka Library – Book Tracks program to build out (5) Free Little Libraries + establish book redistribution network in the community of Sitka
    • Betty Eliason Child Care Center (BECCC) – remaining costs for installing concrete pad, bike track and cover for playground at daycare
    • Bartlett Regional Hospital – Bartlett Beginnings program, OB unit transition to Eat Sleep Consoles (ECS) model of care for families with neonatal abstinence syndrome (NAS); FAN Training; Tranquilo soothing mats for unit.
    • Petersburg Rotary/Petersburg Indian Association/Petersburg Borough – Sandy Beach Playground restoration
    • The Friends of Thorne Bay Library – Thorne Bay library remodel, furnishing and equipment for children’s room
    • Sitka Youth Soccer (SYS) – Sitka Helping Expand and Develop our Reach (HEADR) program
    • Takshanuk Watershed Council – collaboration with Haines High School students and National Public Radio Station to create 5-minute podcast segments that focus on content highlighting nature conservation efforts www.anchor.fm/tracy-wirak-cassidy
    • Association of Alaska School Boards (AASB) – creation and distribution of academic learning resources
    • Fireweed Dance Guild – marketing, flyers, dance clothes, shoes, gear, costumes and theater space rental
    • Craig Waverunner Swim Club (CWSC) – training equipment for swim teams; (2) Destro Training Towers, storage bins for dryland equipment, totemaster swim bags, (20) fins, television and speakers, (4) medicine balls, medicine ball rack, power rack, bench
    • Sealaska Heritage Institute/Raven Reads – Raven Reads at the Library program
    • Kootznoowoo Educational Cultural Foundation (KCEF) – Angoon Teen Center; refinish supplies for youth to work on refurbishing donated furniture, paint and painting supplies, teen artist hires to paint wall murals for Teen Center, furnishings, partial cost for kitchen

    • Coffman Cove Community Library - Statewide Library Electronic Doorway (SLED) program and staff member to facilitate internet access learning for school-aged children at library

    • Sitka Fine Arts Camp – purchase of video and photography class equipment
    • Klukwan Community Playground – installation of new Chilkat Indian Village playground
    • Sitka Sound Science Center – funding to facilitate Ocean Bowl in Sitka
    • Takshanuk Watershed Council – funding to implement and enhance collaborative for Independent Living Summer Work Program
