What is the goal of the study?
This is a biobanking study. The specimen bank itself will not answer any questions. The purpose of developing a biobank of specimens is to provide well-characterized clinical samples from children with and without cystic fibrosis (CF) to researchers seeking to answer research questions. The establishment of a CF specimen bank will facilitate access to valuable clinical samples required by CF investigators for future, grant-funded, in-vitro analyses. Additionally, they serve as a source of samples for the PI’s funded research.
