Spastic Paraplegia-Centers of Excellence Research Network Natural History Study Pilot

SP-CERN

  • Phase: N/A

What is the goal of the study?

In this study, we want to find out more about the signs and symptoms of HSP and PLS in its early stages along with its progression. We hope the information from this study will help facilitate early diagnosis, enable counseling and anticipatory guidance to families and help develop a treatment for HSP and PLS in the future. We aim to support critical research infrastructure for collaborative high-quality research on HSP and PLS in North America and beyond.

Who can participate in the study?

Have a clinical diagnosis of hereditary spastic paraplegia or primary lateral sclerosis and/or have genetic mutation of the HSP related genes and/or a relative of a person with such a diagnosis.
