PNEUMOCOCCAL TITERS IN PATIENTS TREATED WITH B CELL-DIRECTED CHIMERIC ANTIGEN RECEPTOR EXPRESSING T CELLS

PrevCAR

What is the goal of the study?

This research aims to determine whether a dose of pneumococcal vaccine prior to B cell directed CART therapy will boost pneumococcal immunity and if so, to determine the duration of that immunity. To test this, patients will be offered pneumococcal 13- or 15-valent conjugate vaccine prior to B cell directed CART cell infusion as part of routine care procedures. Consenting participants will donate blood prior to vaccination, shortly after vaccination and at days 28 and 100 after CART infusion. Serum and lymphocytes will be tested for cellular immunity to the vaccine and humeral immunity to pneumococcus.
