Medical and Thermal Imaging Repository for Immune-mediated and/or Musculoskeletal Diseases

Medical and Thermal Imaging Repository

What is the goal of the study?

Thermal imaging is a quick and noninvasive tool to identify different rheumatic diseases in patients with great sensitivity could dramatically shorten time to diagnosis and treatment. Infrared thermal imaging can serve this purpose and can detect temperatures of different body parts with precision. If proven sensitive of rheumatic disease detection, thermal imaging may allow ongoing monitoring of disease activity in patients with rheumatic diseases such as CNO or JIA and assist physicians with decision making during a routine visit or a telemedicine encounter. Thermal imaging data from children with immune-mediated diseases, comparator musculoskeletal diseases and healthy controls will be deposited in this registry for development of more precise determination of inflammation. Correlation of thermal imaging with medical imaging will be performed using machine learning, AI techniques.
