Lung Clearance Index Abnormalities in Children and Young Adults with Early Onset Scoliosis

Lung Clearance Index in Early Onset Scoliosis

What is the goal of the study?

This study is being conducted in children and young adults with early onset scoliosis (EOS). Clinical spirometry values will be compared to a different lung function test called Multiple Breath Washout (MBW). This study is investigating if the MBW test could be used to identify obstructive lung disease in children with EOS.

Who can participate in the study?

Children and young adults between the ages of 6 and 20 diagnosed with early onset scoliosis will be eligible to participate in this study. Participants must be able to reliably complete pulmonary function testing (spirometry).
