Developing a Patient-Reported Outcome Measure for Youth Seeking Gender-Affirming Health Care (GENDER-Q Youth): A Field-test Study

GENDER-Q Youth Module

What is the goal of the study?

The objective of this phase 2 field-test is to recruit a heterogeneous sample of youth who identify as transgender or gender diverse and have them fill out the GENDER-Q Youth survey and perform Rasch analysis to item-reduce the scales, examine their psychometric properties (i.e., reliability, validity) and develop the scales' scoring algorithm. The output from this study will be a comprehensive new psychometrically valid PROM that can be used by researchers and clinicians to measure outcomes for gender-affirming care in youth.
