Research labs in the Center for Respiratory Biology and Therapeutics are relentlessly working toward finding the next scientific discovery in pediatric respiratory diseases. See the specific areas of research for each of our labs below.

Dahl Lab

The Dahl Lab is working to understand the underlying causes of complex airway conditions and how to improve diagnostics and treatment planning for these patients. This research includes studying a gene’s role in airway development and exploring new ways to better diagnose and quantify upper airway obstructions.
Debley Lab

The Debley Lab is engaged in an array of translational research investigating the role of the airway epithelium in childhood asthma.
DiBlasi Lab

The DiBlasi Lab aims to develop and evaluate inhaled therapies and life-support systems for newborns and children with life-threatening respiratory failure.
Eldredge Lab

Our mission is to study novel mechanisms of bronchopulmonary dysplasia (BPD) pathogenesis. We have three areas of research: development of airway disease in severe BPD; hyperoxia-induced lung injury in vivo (basic mouse model); airway epithelial cell differentiation (mechanistic translational model).
Laguna Lab

Dr. Laguna’s laboratory is focused on studying infections in the CF airway, using next generation sequencing techniques to identify bacterial and fungal communities that inhabit the lower airways.

Defining the clock and the role of rhythms in human airway epithelial function.
