Dr Rayhill is the most incredible doctor that I have ever had the pleasure to meet. He performed my wife's donation of her kidney to our daughter and was exemplary before, during and after. When I first met the Doc he asked me to grab my phone so he could give me his cell phone number. His PERSONAL cell phone number. I was confused so I asked if email might be best. He said that he checks his email as often as possible but that texting him is best cause he would always have his phone on him. Incredible. We spent well over 2 hours talking and getting to know the specifics of the surgery as well as other things that were personal and not typical of what one thinks a doc would care about. I can't explain it other than to say he really truly Cared about my wife, my daughter, my family, and myself. I hugged him when we left and do so every time I see him. Naturally, he did the most Incredible job removing her kidney and my daughter is getting heathier every day. Thank you Dr Rayhill. I...quite frankly...love you Doc. Thank you

When I donated a kidney to my co-worker in the summer of 2013, Dr. Rayhill performed the surgery. His superb people and techical skills provided me with confidence throughout the journey.

Roughly 13 years ago, Dr. Rayhill performed a liver transplant on my mom at the University of Iowa Hospital. She was a high risk and he was the only surgeon that thought it could be done and the only one that wanted to do it due to the risk. At the time, I was in my early 20s and my sister was about 17. He said, "She has a supportive family. We have to do this." Dr. Rayhill is an incredible man and the UofI Hospitals and Clinics lost a very caring soul when they lost him. He's the reason my mom lived for another 10 productive, loving years.

I was a living donor for my son’s kidney transplant at Children’s hospital. Dr. Rayhill was my transplant surgeon. I was very impressed with his experience, knowledge and tolerance for the endless questions I asked him about my procedure. Due to my unique anatomy, the procedure was more involved than anticipated, however, Dr. Rayhill took the time to ensure he kept the procedure minimally invasive (laparoscopic). As a result, I am almost fully recovered after 3 weeks and back at work full time! I highly recommend Dr. Rayhill for your transplant surgery. Mike Carroll Honeywell Executive
