  • Biography

    Mary A. King, MD, MPH is Medical Director of the Pediatric Trauma Intensive Care Unit at Harborview Medical Center and attending physician at both Harborview and Seattle Children’s Hospital. She completed her residency and fellowship training at Seattle Children’s and her MPH in Epidemiology at the University of Washington in Seattle.

    King has worked to create a new primary pediatric intensivist service at Harborview that serves as a multi-disciplinary ICU service for children with traumatic disease.  She is focused on improving the intersection between pediatric critical care and community with special interest in improving pediatric trauma systems and outcomes as well as pediatric disaster preparedness.  She serves as a vital liason to the King County Healthcare Coalition and is actively engaged in improving regional access to pediatric disaster resources.
