"The babies I treat in the NICU are fighting for their lives. The resilience of such small and fragile patients inspires me, but I also recognize the importance of supporting parents and other family members during this period of uncertainty. When a baby is finally well enough to go home, its an emotional moment for all of us. Families have asked me to join them in a blessing as they walk out the door, which is an honor and a privilege. Although not every baby wins their fight, I strive to provide peace and comfort while they are with us and to help families make the most of their precious time together. My passion for my work includes traveling to developing countries to help improve care and give families everywhere a better chance of seeing their child grow up healthy and happy."
