"I am excited and honored to be part of the hematology team here at Seattle Children’s hospital. I am passionate about providing excellent clinical care to all children with hematologic disorders, with a focus on bleeding and clotting disorders. I am particularly interested in advancement of research and collaborative care to address the needs of adolescents and young adults with heavy menstrual bleeding and hormone-related thrombosis."

Kristin Maher, MD PhD, is an attending physician at Seattle Children’s Hospital, and assistant professor of pediatrics at the University of Washington School of Medicine. Her clinical and research interests focus on disorders of hemostasis and thrombosis.
Prior to medical school Dr. Maher completed a doctorate in chemistry, an experience that still helps fuel her interest in the complexity of the coagulation system. After her fellowship in pediatric hematology-oncology at the University of Colorado she also completed an additional fellowship in hemostasis and thrombosis at the University of Michigan.
