"Throughout my medical and surgical training I was struck by the importance of normal fluid and cell transport. Over the past twenty years I have gravitated to the study and treatment of vascular anomalies and I am motivated to discover how to control vessel growth in these anomalies, so that we can offer more effective treatment and care to affected patients. It is exciting to live and practice medicine in a time when we have the biologic and genetic tools to make these treatments a reality."
