Jesse Roberts, MD is a Pediatric Orthopedic Oncology Surgeon at Seattle Children's Hospital. Additionally, Dr. Roberts is an Attending Physician at the Department of Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine at the University of Washington School of Medicine and Attending Physician at Seattle Cancer Care Alliance.
A graduate of Occidental College Los Angeles, California where he earned his bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology. Dr. Roberts earned his master’s degree in Biochemical and Molecular Nutrition Tufts at the University of Boston Massachusetts. He received his Doctor of Medicine from the New York Medical College in Valhalla, New York. Dr. Roberts completed his surgical internship and orthopaedic surgery residency in at the University of Colorado followed by the Sarcoma Advanced Research and Clinical Fellowship at the University of Davis in California with Dr. Lor Randall.
Dr. Roberts specializes in the diagnosis and surgical treatment of sarcomas and benign bone tumors in pediatric patients as well as adult patients. Sarcomas are a form of cancer that affects bones and soft tissue, such as muscles and tendons. His expertise includes performing joint reconstructions and managing the musculoskeletal complications of cancer treatment. In addition to working with patients, Dr. Roberts is also interested in how telemedicine and advanced technology (wearable devices, for example) can be used to help people recover from surgery more quickly and thoroughly.
Dr. Roberts research interests include exploring the role of novel technology in orthopedic surgery and understanding the factors that lead patients to choose a particular surgery when there are multiple options.
Outside of the hospital, he enjoys spending time with his wife and kids, playing lacrosse, hiking, mountain biking and exploring Seattle and the Pacific Northwest.
