"It is an honor to serve patients and families who seek rheumatology care at Seattle Children’s. My clinical approach is to provide care that is patient centered, evidence-based and outcomes-focused, so that children facing chronic autoimmune and inflammatory conditions can achieve their life goals with excellent health outcomes. My research focus is on learning health systems and aims to improve quality of patient care and implementation of best practices. I also study shared decision-making, use of patient-reported outcome measures in clinical care and comparative effectiveness of treatments. These interests align well with my goal to deliver the best care to every patient."

  • Biography

    Esi M. Morgan, MD, MSCE, is the division head and attending physician in the Division of Rheumatology at Seattle Children's Hospital. She conducts research as a member of the Center for Clinical and Translational Research at Seattle Children’s Research Institute.

    Dr. Morgan is a professor in the Department of Pediatrics at the University of Washington School of Medicine. She received her MD from Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, and her MSCE from the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine Center for Clinical Epidemiology and Biostatistics. She completed her pediatrics internship and residency as well as her pediatric rheumatology fellowship at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia.
