Elizabeth Behre, DO

  • Biography

    Elizabeth Behre, DO, (she/her) is a pediatric endocrinology fellow at the University of Washington and Seattle Children’s Hospital. Her clinical interests include monogenic and other forms of diabetes, the endocrine manifestations of genetic syndromes, hormone-producing adrenal tumors, differences in sexual development, and gender-affirming care.

    Dr. Behre is also interested in the relationship between insulin pump and insulin injection-site rotation in children and adolescents with type 1 diabetes, and her fellowship research project is currently exploring the relationship between site rotation and the different variables that influence it. Other research interests include rare and atypical forms of diabetes, hormone-producing adrenal tumors, and differences in sexual development. She is also passionate about medical education, and loves to engage in both formal and informal teaching with medical students and residents.
