Oh my goodness! Where to start! Well, I'm almost about ten years out from having been one of her patients, and there are almost no words to describe how wonderful Cory has been to my family and I. During the years that I was going through treatment, she made everything seem like just a blast. I remember how easy she made the clinical visits for both me and my parents. She was always easy to talk to, polite, and ready with a joke or some comedy of one form or another. Even when talking about serious topics or things that needed to be done, she made things not so scary or difficult to understand. In all, I would say that Cory just makes being a pediatric cancer patient "Easy Peasy"!

My eyes get misty, truly, as I begin to think of all the ways I'd like to praise Cory; however, I honestly cannot adequately convey my gratitude for her ongoing love, compassion, expert advice, and special "it" factor she has used to bring our family hope... time and time again. I don't throw the word "hero" around lightly. But Nurse Cori? You really have been a hero to my family and I through our son's battle with brain cancer. We love you.

Cory was our primary contact throughout our son Aidan's two and a half year battle with DIPG. She was our medical adviser, our shoulder to cry on and Aidan's cheerleader. She was always honest and compassionate while maintaining her professional integrity. We will never be able to thank her and the Oncology team at Seattle Children's enough for all of their care during Aidan's fight. She will always be one of Aidan's Angels.

During my son's treatment at Seattle Childrens, she was my lifeline! Above and beyond the exceptional range of knowledge and honest answers she gave us the professional shoulder that is so needed when dealing with a sick child.
