"I deliver individualized care so that every patient feels welcome and heard at Seattle Children’s Hospital and Odessa Brown Children’s Clinic. I enjoy partnering with patients, families, and care teams to provide evidence-based care with clear communication, education, and advocacy. Hemoglobinopathies affect a significant portion of the world’s population, and sickle cell disease is considered the oldest known molecular disorder. Despite such prevalence and history, having a chronic illness is very challenging and every patient’s experience is unique. New developments in medical therapy, stem cell transplant, and gene therapy offer new hope for improved management and potential cure of these disorders. My goal is to help patients live fully and happily, and for their humanity to be valued above their hematologic diagnosis."
