"As an eleven-year-old, I was fascinated by a KOMO 4 news broadcast which described the possibility of using liquid oxygen in the ventilators of premature babies. Seeing cutting edge technology used to improve the care of small infants instantly captivated me. Through my years of medical and neonatology training I learned that while liquid oxygen was not used for babies, the field was ripe with ever changing techniques, devices and concepts that helped infants survive the perils of premature birth. I knew that caring for these infants required an innovative yet devoted and compassionate doctor. It is my immense pleasure to be able to provide this care and get babies home to their parents."
