Beginning Jan. 18, 2023, Seattle Children’s is offering telemedicine for urgent care services for the first time.

Virtual Urgent Care will expand services beyond our four in-person urgent care locations in Seattle, Federal Way, Everett and Bellevue to any eligible patient in the state of Washington.

This new service will bring care even closer to home and increase access to urgent care for kids and teens across the state.

Virtual urgent care allows patients to stay at home, or in another location of their choosing within Washington state, and use technology to see, hear and talk with a provider through a computer, tablet or other digital device.

At a time when health care organizations everywhere continue to see high patient volumes, this service will provide a new option for care for families in communities across Washington state.

Through a Virtual Urgent Care visit, we can see children with these symptoms:

  • Allergies
  • Bite (animal, human, insect)
  • Cold and flu symptoms
  • Constipation
  • Cough
  • Croup
  • Diarrhea
  • Eye infection
  • Fever (patients ages 2 years old and older)
  • Head injury (no loss of consciousness)
  • Minor injury (sprains or strains)
  • Lice
  • Nausea/vomiting
  • Sinus infection
  • Skin rash
  • Sore throat
  • Urinary tract infection

Virtual Urgent Care will be offered Monday through Friday from 1 p.m. to 9 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Patients must be present in the state of Washington during the time of their visit, and must be accompanied by a legal guardian.

Interpreter services are available. Patients can access an appointment through a digital device with an internet connection. Find more information here. Make an appointment via our website.

Seattle Children’s has also expanded in-person hours at our Seattle Urgent Care location on the hospital campus. Appointments are now available between 11 a.m. and 10:30 p.m. on weekdays, as well as 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays.
