Vestibular dysfunction in pediatric cancer patients who have received cisplatin.

Cisplatin effects on balance

What is the goal of the study?

The aim of this study is to determine if there is a relationship between cisplatin treatment and vestibular dysfunction in pediatric cancer patients. We hypothesize that pediatric cancer patients are at higher risk for vestibular dysfunction due to treatment with ototoxic anti-cancer drugs, such as cisplatin compared to pediatric patients who do not receive these drugs. In this proposal, we will measure vestibular function in cancer survivors who have previously been treated with cisplatin.
