Validation of a novel pediatric oncology financial toxicity outcome measure

What is the goal of the study?

The aim of this study is to continue to develop a survey instrument to the measure potential financial challenges experienced by families of pediatric patients with cancer due to diagnosis and treatment—referred to as financial toxicity. Critical to measure development is family centered review of a preliminary measure, though the process of cognitive interviewing, to help evaluate face and content validity. This study will invite 20-30 caregivers of children with cancer to complete a cognitive interview with study personnel to evaluate a novel financial toxicity measure in pediatric oncology in development.

Pediatric oncology patients and their caregivers.
