What is the goal of the study?

Identify patient- and situational- factors associated with enrollment status on pediatric oncology biobanking studies. Explore the comprehension of biobanking enrollment status and understanding of the goals of biobanking (i.e., quality of informed consent), as well as perspectives on and communication preferences about biobanking research of young adults (YAs) with cancer and parents of children with cancer. Develop and refine a multiple item survey to assesses the above domains of interest. Collect and report information about parent and YA patient experiences of and preferences for communication about cancer biobanking research.
