What is the goal of the study?

The purpose of this study is to determine if cortical auditory evoked potentials (CAEPs) provide meaningful auditory threshold information that can be used with other test results to develop an appropriate treatment plan for children with hearing loss, such as fitting a hearing device or to start candidacy for a cochlear implant.
