Genetics and Epigenetics of Juvenile Idiopathic Arthritis

genes jia

  • Phase: Registry

What is the goal of the study?

We are trying to learn why certain children are more likely to get juvenile arthritis (sometimes known as “juvenile idiopathic arthritis” or JIA) and others are less likely. We know that genetic factors are part of what makes certain children more likely to get JIA. Understanding these genetic factors better will help us understand these diseases and help us develop better treatments.

Who can participate in the study?

Children between the ages of 3 and 16 with newly diagnosed, unmedicated JIA.
