Putting the brace on
- Put a clean, dry, cotton t-shirt on your child. Put a clean stockinette or thin cotton leggings on your child.
- Lay your child into the pelvic section of the brace. The waist grooves in the brace should sit between your child’s hips and ribs.
- Tighten the pelvic section straps, making sure that they are fairly snug.
- Gently place your child’s thighs into the thigh cuffs. Each thigh cuff should rest on the back of your child’s thigh. Your child should be able to bend their knees.
- Tighten all cuff straps, making sure that each one is snug.

Wearing schedule
- Wear the brace as prescribed by your doctor.
- For the first couple of days, remove brace every 2 hours to check your child's skin.
- When sleeping, support your child's legs with pillows or blankets to prevent excessive pressure from the brace.
Cleaning instructions
- Have your child wear a clean t-shirt and leggings or snug pajamas under the brace to protect the skin.
- Clean skin daily to prevent skin irritation.
- Take your child out of the brace for bathing and diaper changes.
- Surface clean the brace with rubbing alcohol.
- Liners can be removed for cleaning. Hand wash with mild soap and water and lay flat to dry.
- Extra set of liners is provided with each brace.
Skin checks
- Check your child's skin daily for irritation.
- Your child should not develop blisters, sores, or rashes under the brace.
- Red marks from the edges and straps of the brace should fade in about 30 minutes.
