November 6, 2025

At Seattle Children’s Heart Center, our team of experts diagnoses and treats every kind of heart problem. Whether your patient’s condition is mild or critical, we have more specialized pediatric experience than any other children’s hospital in the Pacific Northwest.

Building on our mission to provide top pediatric care close to home, Seattle Children’s Heart Center will expand our clinic locations to include Renton Cardiology on December 8. This new location allows us to better address the needs of our ever-increasing population of cardiac patients in South King County.

What services are available at the Renton location?

Seattle Children’s Renton Cardiology is part of Seattle Children’s Heart Center, the most comprehensive pediatric cardiology program in the Northwest. The Heart Center team offers the full range of heart care, from prenatal consultation, to heart surgery, to heart care for young adults.

Renton Cardiology services will include:

  • Care for pregnant people with fetal cardiac concerns
  • Echocardiograms, including fetal echocardiograms by our registered pediatric sonographers
  • Electrocardiograms (ECGs or EKGs)
  • Evaluation, monitoring and treatment for rhythm disturbances
  • Newborn care
  • Transitional care for young adults, including referral to an adult cardiologist

When will the clinic accept referrals?

Renton Cardiology will begin scheduling November 10, with the first appointments available December 8. Most new patients can be seen within one to two weeks after processing their referral. If your patient’s condition is more urgent, you can indicate that on your referral or page the on-call South Sound Cardiologist at 253-934-0920 to discuss urgent clinical questions.
