Referral Guidance for Ophthalmology Available Soon in EpicCare Link
Beginning soon, community providers will have access to referral guidance within EpicCare Link when referring patients to Ophthalmology. When placing the referral, providers will be directly linked to the Ophthalmology refer a patient page to review guidelines that may be relevant to their patients and given the option to proceed or cancel the referral based on the guidelines.
Providing real-time referral guidance should help reduce delays, improve communication, and ensure patients are connected to the right ophthalmology service quickly. You can also track referral status directly in EpicCare Link, keeping you informed every step of the way. Learn more about EpicCare Link, including how to sign up if you don’t currently have access.
