MyChart Self-Scheduling and Fast Pass for Select Radiology Orders
February 5, 2025
Radiology is pleased to offer MyChart self-scheduling and Fast Pass to our patients and families who have an active MyChart account to offer greater flexibility and, in some cases, access to earlier appointments.
Self-Scheduling
Once Seattle Children’s receives an eligible radiology order via EpicCare Link or fax, a message will be sent to the patient’s MyChart account with the option to self-schedule. Many ultrasound and CT exams can be self-scheduled along with DEXA exams. There’s no need for the family to wait to be contacted and families can schedule for a day and time that’s convenient for them.
Radiology continues to evaluate additional imaging that can be self-scheduled.
Fast Pass
Families also now have the option to be notified should an earlier appointment become available via Fast Pass. If an earlier appointment time opens, families may be sent a message in MyChart offering the opportunity to reschedule to the earlier appointment.
Establishing a MyChart Account
Patients will need to have an active MyChart account at the time their order is placed to access self-scheduling and Fast Pass. Patients and/or families can request MyChart as outlined below:
- For legal guardians of a patient who is 17 years or younger: Request MyChart Access to My Child’s Record.
- For patients who are 13+ years old who want to access their records: Request MyChart Access to My Record.
- For patients who are 18+ years or older: Give Someone Else Access to My Record Through MyChart.
