A new article from Seattle Children’s defines the four types of bullying, explores why children often hide their experience from parents, helps families spot warning signs and provides guidance for how to start a conversation about bullying.
Please share this article with parents and caregivers to empower them with actionable steps for supporting a child who is being bullied: Would You Know If Your Child Was Being Bullied?
New Animated Videos on the Autism Spectrum and School Services
Two new videos expand the range of information covered in Seattle Children’s “Introduction to Autism” animated series. “Autism Spectrum Disorder: Where are you on the spectrum” describes the autism spectrum and associated levels of support. “Supporting Autism: Birth-to-3 and School Services” discusses early childhood and school services available for children with autism, and how to find those services in Washington state.
Please share with families as appropriate. The videos are available on Seattle Children’s Autism Center website and on YouTube. Four more videos will launch in the coming months, and all videos will be translated into Spanish and other languages. The series was created by experts in Seattle Children’s Autism Center and Patient Family Education team and was made possible through the generous support of Wizards of the Coast.
