Reminder: Providers Must Accept and Sign eConsults

When submitting an eConsult to Seattle Children's, there are two steps required to send the eConsult order: Accept and "Sign".

Step 1 – Accept

  • After you enter information in the eConsult template, click “Accept” to move to the next screen called “Order Entry.”

Step 2 – Sign

  • In the “Order Entry” window, you will see the eConsult order under the section called "Unsigned New Orders."
  • At the bottom of the window, click "Sign."
  • Clicking "Sign" is the step that sends the eConsult to the Seattle Children's specialist.

Not ready to submit your order yet?

In the “Order Entry” window, you can select “Pend” to keep that unsigned order available until you are ready to send to Seattle Children's.

Did you know?

There is a 15-minute timeout in EpicCare Link after inactivity.

If you have not clicked "Sign" or “Pend,” you will lose any unsigned new orders when you leave the “Order Entry” screen or you time out.
