Biography
Dr. Frye is a Lead Attending Psychologist, the Co-Director of Training and Lead of Consultation in School-Based Behavioral Health at Seattle Children’s and Affiliate Faculty at the University of Washington's School Mental Health Assessment Research & Training Center (SMART), where she provides clinical consultation and training to therapists and staff in schools and school-based primary care clinics across the country.Â
Clinically, Dr. Frye specializes in the assessment and treatment of developmental, behavioral, and emotional challenges with specific expertise in autism spectrum disorders. Prior to her current role at Seattle Children's, Dr. Frye founded and led the autism evaluation clinic in primary care at the Odessa Brown Children's Clinic from 2016-2025. She continues to participate in efforts to integrate autism diagnostics in primary care and school settings.
Dr. Frye earned her PhD. in school psychology from the University of Washington. She completed her general child clinical psychology internship at Primary Children’s Hospital in Salt Lake City, Utah where she gained specialized training in the treatment of trauma and anxiety disorders in children. She completed a post-doctoral clinical fellowship in the Bernier Research Lab at the University of Washington Autism Center focusing on the assessment and treatment of autism spectrum disorders and other developmental disabilities. Previous to completing her Ph.D., Dr. Frye also earned a master’s degree in school psychology and worked as a nationally certified school psychologist and licensed mental health counselor both locally and internationally in South America.
