Kelsey Paige Pearson, PAC

"I am proud to be a Physician Assistant. The core of my practice is patient and family centered care. In dealing with issues related to nephrology in pediatrics, the medicine is complex, the challenges families face are multifaceted and the benefits of great care are immeasurable when you see a child who is thriving despite their illness."

  • My name is Kelsey Pearson. I am originally from a town outside of Chicago, Illinois. I completed my Bachelors of Science, in Kinesiology(Movement Sciences) at University of Illinois. The major appealed to be because of the strong science/anatomy foundations it is based upon. I then went on to complete my Masters of Medical Science at Midwestern University in Glendale, Arizona. During which, I spent time volunteering to provide medical care to the homeless population in Phoenix, performed pre-sport physicals on high school students and organized a weekly yoga class for the inpatient psychiatric ward at the Maricopa County Hospital. My first professional position was as an Acute Care Physician Assistant working at the Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, MD. I cared for liver, kidney and pancreas recipients after their transplant and during other inpatient admissions. I am excited to begin my career working in pediatric nephrology at Seattle Children's and continue to use my knowledge base from transplant to care for children and adolescents with transplants, as well as, patients with kidney disease.

We just established care with Kelsey for our 2 year old son who was recently diagnosed with Nephrotic Syndrome, along with some complicating factors that landed us in the hospital for almost a week. I am so impressed. Kelsey went out of her way to explain our situation and what our future may look like, depending on different factors. She answered our questions in detail and showed empathy for the issues we were agonizing over. I didn’t feel rushed and she offered to help me with some extra research on an issue I am concerned with that conflicts with a normal nephrology protocol. I really couldn’t ask for more and I hope she will be with us on this path for a long time! Between her and Safon (sp?) we felt really held and taken care of today!
