Biography
Claudia Kirkland is a licensed clinical social worker who works as a behavioral health therapist with children, youth, and families at Odessa Brown Children Clinic. She has over 20 years of experience providing individual, group, and family therapy in community and school-based settings. Claudia has special interest and further training in providing Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Parent-Child Interactive Therapy, and treating anxiety and depression. Claudia enjoys providing gender affirming care in collaboration with families and OBCC medical providers. She strives to provide compassionate support centering youth and families’ strengths, resilience, culture, and lived-experiences. Claudia prioritizes building trusting relationships and tailoring treatment to meet each individual’s needs as an essential part of therapy.
