"During my residency here at UW/Seattle Children's, I quickly learned that providing excellent medical care requires a team. As a fellow in Craniofacial Medicine, I was fortunate to join a dedicated team of providers from various specialties working together to help patients reach their full potential. Whether meeting parents after a prenatal diagnosis, an infant with a newly diagnosed craniofacial condition, or an adolescent who has been through a lot of treatment, I am passionate about helping my patients and families find solutions to problems and improve health outcomes. I am inspired by my patients and feel honored to work with such courageous and resilient children."

  • Biography

    Emily Gallagher, MD, MPH, is an attending physician at Seattle Children's Hospital and an assistant professor in the Department of Pediatrics at the University of Washington School of Medicine. She completed her fellowship in Craniofacial Medicine at Seattle Children's Hospital in 2011.

    Dr. Gallagher's research focuses on improving standards of care and outcomes for craniofacial conditions. She is interested in identifying developmental and educational challenges that may be associated with specific craniofacial conditions and developing interventions to improve learning for these patients. She is also working on long term needs of children with certain craniofacial conditions to improve quality of care, particularly for children who have been treated for craniosynostosis. She is the co-director of the 22q clinic and is working to improve treatment and support for patients and families affected by 22q11.2-related disorders. Dr. Gallagher also enjoys teaching medical students, residents, and fellows.
