Referrals to a Specialist
Most pediatric concerns can be diagnosed and treated at our office. However, should your child need a consultation with a specialist, please call to schedule an appointment with our physicians first. We can discuss the proposed referral and initiate that process.
Many insurance companies, some private practice specialists and Seattle Children's Hospital may require a referral from the primary care physician.
Medicine Refills
If you need a medicine refilled, you may contact your pharmacy and have them send us a request or make a request through the patient portal, MyChart.
Only certain types of medicine can be refilled under specific circumstances. You may be asked to make an appointment with your physician before a refill can be authorized. Thanks for your understanding.
A note about antibiotics: We work hard to not overuse antibiotics. We educate families on appropriate use of antibiotics and follow evidence-based guidelines. We will prescribe an antibiotic when we believe it is an appropriate treatment.
