Here are answers to some of the questions we receive most often.

  • Members of the media may request interviews by contacting press@seattlechildrens.org. Availability for interviews varies by doctor and day. While we do our best to accommodate each request, we cannot guarantee that a doctor will always be available for an interview.

  • Filming and/or photography is not permitted on Seattle Children’s property without consent from the PR team. Members of the media may film freely on the public sidewalk. Please also take a look at our multimedia asset library, where you’ll find downloadable videos and photos of Seattle Children’s.

  • Requests must be submitted in advance to the PR team to arrange proper permission and an escort, even if invited by a patient family.

  • Members of the media may submit inquiries about a patient’s condition by contacting the PR team. A full name with proper spelling is required. No supplementary information can be released without prior written consent from the family.

  • Seattle Children’s strives to be transparent and communicate effectively with the community and members of the media. Please contact the PR team with any requests for statements, which can be provided upon request, when available.

  • Yes – we have a Ready Cam studio at Building Cure in downtown Seattle (1920 Terry Ave., Seattle, WA 98101), and a media room at the main Seattle Children’s hospital campus in the Laurelhurst neighborhood (4800 Sand Point Way NE, Seattle, WA 98105).

  • Visitors may request patient visits by contacting press@seattlechildrens.org. While we do our best to accommodate each request, we follow the latest COVID-visitor guidelines, and cannot guarantee non-family members are able to visit patients.
