PPN Resources
Seattle Children’s is a member of the Pediatric Pandemic Network (PPN) a network that strives to coordinate, prepare and enable high-quality, equitable, research-based pediatric care in emergencies, disasters, and pandemics. As a member, we share updates and new resources with our regional healthcare community.
The PPN has highlighted several new resources for its members to share with their network of clinicians and families:
- Outbreaks of infectious diseases, like the flu or measles, can be stressful for families. This Staying Strong Through Outbreaks guide helps parents and caregivers prepare to support children during the crisis and recover with resilience.
- Whether preparing for travel season or managing a recent diagnosis, these frequently asked questions on Arbovirus and Malaria, help families understand and prevent mosquito-borne illnesses. These easy to share resources are designed to support conversations with patients and empower families with practical guidance and can help reinforce clinical care.
- With summer temperatures rising, it’s important to keep kids safe and healthy. Read through these Heat Related Illness Safety - Resources for Clinicians for helpful clinical information on severe heat and related illnesses.
