Supporting Families Through FAST-B: A Practical Training for Addressing Childhood Behavior Challenges

The Washington Chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics (WCAAP) and the First Approach Skills Training (FAST) team at Seattle Children’s Hospital are offering a one-day training on FAST-B: Key Skills for Engaging Caregivers in Video-Guided Care to Address Challenging Behaviors in Youth. This interactive training will take place on Wednesday, April 20, from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the Community Health Plan of Washington office in downtown Seattle (1111 3rd Ave, Suite 400).

Designed for paraprofessionals such as peer support specialists and community health workers, the training is also open to primary care providers, nurses and licensed mental health professionals who support families. Participants will gain practical strategies and tools to help caregivers support children ages 5 to 12 with behavioral challenges at home. In-person participation is strongly encouraged; however, virtual options may be available upon request. To register, please complete this form. For questions, contact Ian Scott at [email protected].
