March Mental and Behavioral Health Roundup

Capacity Available with the Behavior and Attention Management Program's Parent School Partnership Consultation Group

The Parent School Partnership Consultation Group (PSPC) is a group-based program for caregivers focused on how to communicate and partner effectively with their school team and to how to promote the use of healthy, safe, and effective classroom behavior changes strategies. PSPC recently increased capacity to get families in faster and decrease wait times. Providers should submit a New Appointment Request Form (NARF) and clearly request Behavior and Attention Management Programs - PSPC CV.

PSPC is a great fit for caregivers of children ages 5-11 who experience behavior challenges at school, such as unsafe classroom behaviors, difficulties with social relationships, dysregulated participation, and struggles with inattention and disorganization. It is ideal for caregivers interested in improving communication and partnership with their child's school team, learning about evidence-based behavioral interventions in the classroom, and initiating or revising a Daily Report Card. However, PSPC may not be the right fit for caregivers of children who are not currently attending school in person (though part-time in-person attendance is acceptable). It is also not suited for those seeking only IEP/504 plan support or one-on-one consultation regarding school concerns.
