Flu Fighters: Vaccinations Now Available at Seattle Children’s

October 1, 2025

To help reduce outbreaks of vaccine-preventable diseases, influenza vaccinations are now available to patients coming for a clinic appointment, visiting Urgent Care or the Emergency Department, staying overnight in the hospital or coming to the Seattle hospital campus or Seattle Children’s Bellevue Clinic and Surgery Center for a procedure. Patients will be screened for eligibility and offered the flu shot as part of their routine care.

This effort is part of Seattle Children’s dedication to help treat and prevent illness by proactively offering patients routine immunizations to patients. By remaining vigilant on reducing outbreaks, we can strengthen our vital partnership with community providers by working collaboratively to improve the health of the community.

Seattle Children’s also recognizes the importance of protecting the entire household and has downloadable flu shot vouchers available to patients’ family members and household contacts age 3 years and older during patient visits and stays. The vouchers can be used at any Albertsons Company pharmacy in Washington, Alaska, Montana and Idaho with no out-of-pocket cost (family members’ insurance will be billed, if available, and any remaining balance will be charged to Seattle Children’s). Family members and household contacts 6 months to 35 months old will need to get their flu vaccine at their primary care provider’s office.

These efforts to vaccinate patients for the flu are in accordance with recommendations from the American Academy of Pediatrics to increase access to vaccines in all healthcare settings.
