  • Biography

    Rebecca C Hjorten, MD is an attending physician in the Division of Nephrology at Seattle Children’s and is an Assistant Clinical Professor of Medicine at the University of Washington School of Medicine where she cares for patients in the clinical areas of general nephrology, kidney transplant and dialysis.

    She earned her MD at Stanford University School of Medicine.  She then completed her residency and began her nephrology fellowship at the Children’s Hospital at Montefiore.  She completed her nephrology fellowship training at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center.  During her medical training she completed a research fellowship at the Technion Israel Institute of Technology and a postdoctoral research fellowship at the University of Washington studying APOL1 kidney disease.
