Catherine Jean Culp, MD

Biography
Catherine Culp, MD, was born and raised in Akron, Ohio. She graduated summa cum laude from Case Western Reserve University with a BS in biochemistry and minors in psychology, chemistry and business management. She earned her medical degree at the Ohio State University College of Medicine. Prior to residency, she spent one year in Salt Lake City as an ophthalmic pathology and research fellow at the University of Utah John A. Moran Eye Center. She recently completed her residency at George Washington University in Washington, DC. Her interest in ophthalmology began in childhood through personal interactions with Dr. Anthony Locastro and grew in medical school under the mentorship of Dr. Richard Hertle at Akron Children’s Hospital. Dr. Culp is excited to have moved to the Pacific Northwest for her pediatric ophthalmology fellowship. In her free time, she enjoys reading, hiking, rowing and skiing.
