Angela Forbes is a pediatric nurse practitioner with the Cancer and Blood Disorders Center. She started her career at Seattle Children's Hospital as a unit coordinator on the cancer care unit. She was inspired by the nurses on that unit to pursue a career in nursing.
She then went on to receive her master's degree from New York University, where she was honored as the Distinguished Graduate. She also was awarded the Division of Nursing Alumni Association, Master's Achievement Award. After graduation, she worked at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, specializing in caring for critically ill children with cancer and other immunological diseases. She returned to Seattle Children's Hospital in 2011.
Angela is also a part of the leadership team for the Advanced Practice Provider Fellowship Program here at Seattle Children's Hospital. She providers mentoring and education to new Advanced Practice Providers in the program.
Originally from Belfast, Northern Ireland, Angela lives in Seattle with her daughter, Chloe and their dog Cookie. Her interests include traveling, watching bad British television and reading.
