Academic Title: Affiliate Assistant Professor

"Even as a teenager I remember my parents emphasizing to me the importance of serving others, being kind and compassionate as well as understanding of the people around you. My first exposure to providing dental care to children was during dental school. I was given the unique opportunity to learn in the faculty pediatric dental practice of my mentor, Dr. Devereaux Peterson. After finishing dental school, working as a general dentist I was employed in Eastern Washington where I was able to see many children with so much dental need. I felt challenged to learn how to provide the special care that many of these children needed. It has been almost 9 years since I finished my residency in pediatric dentistry. I am very happy with the path I chose. I have the opportunity to positively affect a child's life and provide care not only to the patient, but to their family as well."
