I highly recommend Dr. Novotny. He oversaw our son's brain surgery - a focal cortical resection for focal cortical dysplasia which was causing Infantile Spasms. Dr. Novotny is extremely knowledgeable about Infantile Spasms, Adreno-Cortico-Tropic Hormone (ACTH) and its potential benefits and negative side effects. If you live in the Pacific Northwest and Alaska, your best choice for a neurologist is Dr. Novotny. The quality of your child's outcome can depend greatly on having a qualified neurologist who knows what kinds of medical risks to take, when to take them, and when the negative effects of medication are outweighing the risks. I would trust Dr. Novotny with my child's life. He is very thorough, and does not overlook anything. He also does a very complete assessment, and pays attention to the parents' concerns.

Dr. Novotny and his staff have been very easy to approach about any concerns or questions I have about my daughter. He is kind, and knowledgeable, and always takes the time to sit and explain any information to you. I never feel like a question is irrelevant.
