Caring for Your Child at Home
Depending on the reason for your child's clinic visit, different aspects of his care may change as a result of his visit. Once you go home, your child may need different equipment or to have changes made in his diet or medications.
It is important that you ask your nurse or other care providers for the information you need to feel comfortable in caring for your child at home.
If he needs special home care equipment or home nursing, your child's nurse will help you arrange it.
Before your child goes home after his clinic visit, plan to talk to your child's nurse or care provider about any changes in care, such as any changes in medications, therapies or follow-up appointments.
